Targeting
Termites With Premise

Termites
do not detect Premise.
Premise® is a non-repellent termite treatment, meaning
that termites unknowingly enter the Treated
Zone. Applied to soil,Premise® creates
a protective Treated Zone between
termites in the soil and wood in your home.
Other repellent termite control products
rely on a complete barrier to be effective
- one small gap in the treatment and termites
will find it. Premise® works by killing termites,
not repelling them. Its unique chemistry
binds to soil and won't wash away.
Premise® eliminates termites.
Premise® gets rid of termites in several ways. First,
termites are eliminated as they ingest or
contact Premise® in the Treated Zone.
Second, termites transfer Premise® through
social interaction and cannibalism. Termites
survive as a colony and are in constant
contact with each other. Premise® uses this
against them to protect your home!

A
few reasons why we use Premise
- Your family's well-being
comes first when deciding what's best
for your home, and you get that with the
Premise® family of products from Bayer.
Premise® has delivered responsible termite
elimination that has been proven in more
than 1 million homes.
- Premise® is applied
at very low rates - up to 10 times lower
than some other termite treatments. Best
of all, rigorous testing to meet Environmental
Protection Agency standards and more than
seven years of real-world use show Premise® eliminates termites without affecting
people.
- That means that
you and your family are exposed to very
little insecticide, yet it is more than
enough to eliminate any current termite
infestation AND provide long-lasting protection
against any new termite infestation.
Let's
look at how Premise® is applied to your home
or business:
First, we drill all concrete
slab or asphalt areas next to the foundation,
placing a hole every 12 inches.

Next,
we dig a small trench next to the foundation
where there is soil. This trench is usually
about 6 inches wide and deep.

Now,
we'll apply the Premise® solution into the
trench. Using the trenching method insures
that the product is applied evenly around
the foundation.

After
treating the trench, we put the soil back
into the trench, treating it as we do so
there will be no untreated soil next to
the structure.

Next, we'll inject the Premise® solution
into the holes we drilled. Placing a hole
every 12 inches insures that the chemical
will overlap it's coverage under the slab.
To
finish up, we patch the holes with cement.
Now, the structure is protected, and will
be for years to come.
Indoors,
we will treat spot areas of activity to
stop the termites in those areas quickly.
As Premise® is spread through the colony,
activity inside and outside the strcuture
will stop completely.

With
this method, also known as a Limited Treatment,
there is no need to pull up carpet and drill
all over the basement, unless of course
termites are active there - then it's only
the active spot that's drilled and treated.
That means less disturbance inside for you
and your family.
